     "With its graceful wraparound, colonnaded front porch, the Jonathan Munroe House stands out from the other inns and captain's homes on this stretch of upper Main Street. Inside, the formal parlor has been transformed into a comfortable gathering room with European flair. Guest rooms are immaculate, antiques-filled, and dotted with clever details. Many rooms have fireplaces and baths with whirlpool jets. All have sitting areas, perfect for curling up with a bestseller (provided) or matching wits over a game of chess (also provided). Other thoughtful touches in the rooms include sherry, terrycloth robes, and Bose radios. At breakfast, don't miss the homemade waffles and pancakes, served on the sunny porch. Wine and cheese are served in the evening. Request the garden cottage, with its flowering window boxes, if you are in a honeymooning mood."

Proudly located in the heart of Edgartown Village, just 2 and 1/2 blocks from the harbor, the Jonathan Munroe House provides its own entertainment by allowing guests to stroll to the bustling harbor front activities, the Lighthouse Beach, the Island's finest restaurants and shops, four churches and the (not-to-be-missed) Vineyard Museum just a block away.

Situated at 100 Main Street, our front porch and many rooms look out on the Preservation Trust Property, a historic park which serves as the grounds for the Old Whaling Church and the Daniel Fisher House.

Policies:
Smoking, Televisions and Cell Phones: There are no televisions on the premises. Cell phones are permitted in private rooms only. In consideration of our guests, we ask that you do not use them in the communal areas, including the garden patio. There is also no smoking permitted on the premises.

Reservations and Cancellations: Rates do not include Room Occupancy Tax. Confirmation of reservations is not final until payment is received in full, if for three nights or less. If four or more nights, a 50% deposit is required and payment in full is due 14 days prior to arrival. Major credit cards are accepted. Guests are responsible for the full length of their reservations. Those cancelled at least 15 days prior to the scheduled arrival will be refunded. Cancellations received within 15 days of scheduled arrival, or shortened stays are refunded based upon the ability of the Inn to sell out during that period. All refunds are subject to a 10% handling fee.

For guests making advanced reservations using a credit card number, please be advised that you are making a commitment to us and we, in turn, are making a commitment to you. All charges in accordance to our Reservation Policy will be put through at the time your reservation is made, just as we had received your check and processed it for payment. Our Cancellation and Reservation Policies pertain to advance credit card charges and apply to early departures.
